From Hammersmith to the Excel Centre in Docklands. Was it bigger, better and with burgers? ![What do you mean, trolley not required](https://wotangames.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Events/Dragonmeet25/20251128_165316.jpg?width=960&height=960&name=20251128_165316.jpg) It was the first John Dodd-only Dragonmeet, it was the biggest by far and the most amazing setup experience EVER! Firstly, and most importantly, thank you John and the whole Dragonmeet team. For your support, patience and all the help, not only for the great new event, but for the chance to be part of it.  ![Getting to setting](https://wotangames.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Events/Dragonmeet25/20251128_170307.jpg?width=960&height=960&name=20251128_170307.jpg) We had never been to Excel, not as a Sponsor before. The challenge was to get across London and actually find how you get into the event to drop off the stand and stock. Some people who will remain nameless did end up on a ferry crossing the Thames! ![The groove kicking in](https://wotangames.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Events/Dragonmeet25/20251129_094350.jpg?width=960&height=960&name=20251129_094350.jpg) It was constant, not only in the visiting and discussions for 2026 but also for the future of Wotan Games. The most important first encounter, professionally for Wotan Games, was with the Ragnar Brothers. Foolishly, we took no photos to prove the meeting, lol, but let’s just say Waddling Ducks were discussed. Also, a great few chats and playthroughs with Dave Battom, the 2025 team addition and star designer of the soon to be discussed Pipes game - check out the [backerkit sign up](https://emsy.share.hsforms.com/2ZC5iakUPT4ueceXgebTveQ) ![For Liberty and Managed Democracy](https://wotangames.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Events/Dragonmeet25/20251129_111148.jpg?width=960&height=960&name=20251129_111148.jpg) Such a gathering of like-minded people is always a pleasure, and sometimes shared moments are something that only those that know will understand.   ![Wotan's happy crew](https://wotangames.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Events/Dragonmeet25/20251129_180627.jpg?width=960&height=454&name=20251129_180627.jpg) Dragonmeet 2026 is always going to be on my calendar, and I hope to see you there. We had a great stand this year, but as always, if you missed the chance to snag one, fear not—they’re all waiting for you at [shop.wotangames.co.uk](https://shop.wotangames.co.uk/), alongside some games from our equally delightful industry pals.   [Events Attended](https://wotangames.co.uk/blog/topic/events-attended) ## Related posts [![](https://wotangames.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Events/Spiel/2025/20251024_133351.jpg?height=200&name=20251024_133351.jpg)](https://wotangames.co.uk/blog/spiel-2025) [Events Attended](https://wotangames.co.uk/blog/topic/events-attended) ## [Spiel 2025](https://wotangames.co.uk/blog/spiel-2025) ![Picture of Laurence O'Brien](https://app.hubspot.com/settings/avatar/c5424f252f851c5971aa476c5a9c0cf0) [Laurence O'Brien](https://wotangames.co.uk/blog/author/laurence-obrien) 2 Jan 2026, 15:57:20 Wotan Games finally returned to Spiel in Essen, not as an interested party, but the fact this was...
